Simon Ashworth is chief policy officer for the Association of Employment and Learning Providers (AELP). Mike Thompson has been working in Barclays for over 25 years in a variety of frontline and support leadership roles across the business. For the last six years, he has worked in HR where he has built up extensive experience implementing management and leadership development programmes and employee engagement programmes. His achievements include the roll-out of the highly successful Leadership Excellence Programme across the UK, Africa and Europe and the implementation of the Barclays Apprenticeship Programme, which is recognised as one of the UK's leading programmes.
