The CIPD, together with our CIPD Manchester branch, are delighted to invite you to an interactive evening event, where you’ll have the chance to help us shape the future of the profession.
Putting people professionals at the heart of change
We’re developing a new Professional Standards Framework that will set out the knowledge and behaviours people professionals will need to champion better work and working lives in all they do. We want it to support you to make confident choices, develop you throughout your career and inspire you for the future. Its ultimate goal is to create clear standards, defining an international gold standard for Chartered members that includes areas like situational judgement and ethical behaviour; which we believe are just as important as a core body of knowledge and commitment to develop.
Join us on Thursday 13 July as we take the next step on our journey. You’ll see all of our latest thinking and have the chance to feedback your ideas, suggestions, questions and challenges. We’re sharing our work as we go, because we firmly believe that co-creating the new framework with our members and the wider profession will achieve the best final result.
The event will take place in Manchester and is free to attend. Whether you are a student representing the future of the profession, or you have years of experience to share: we’d love to see you there.
The event itself
You’ll explore the new framework through interactive stations, learn what we’ve done already and what our next steps are, and find out more about CIPD Manchester.
• Design and interaction station
Get creative! Tell us what you think about the framework diagrams, feed back on the visual brand and have a go at naming the framework.
• Principles station (Work Matters, People Matter, Professionalism Matters)
Find out more about our principles for better work and working lives, and tell us what knowledge and behaviours you’ll need to put them into practice, as well as the support you’d like from us at the CIPD.
• Future of Work is Human station
Which trends will be the biggest drivers of change in the people profession over the coming years? And what is our role in shaping the future of work?
Personal stories station
• On your best day, what kinds of measurable contributions do you make as a people professional? What impact do you have on individuals, on your business or even on wider society?
• CIPD Manchester stand
Come and say “hello” to our friendly, experienced branch members, who’ll be happy to answer questions, tell you more about the events they run, and will be asking for your thoughts on what support you’d like from CIPD Manchester.
• Wish Wall
Have you got feedback for us that wasn’t covered by any of our stations? You can write down any other wishes and wants for the Professional Standards Framework here.
• Photo booth
No event would be complete without a photo booth! Take a snap and tell us why #WorkMatters, #People Matter or #Professionalism matters to you.
