Hi All
We are looking to give our employees the option to receive financial advise to help them get a better understanding of saving accounts, pensions etc.
I was wondering if anyone has done something similar, having an organisation come in and run sessions?
If so, could you please recommend?
Many thanks,
Charlotte

Hi Charlotte,
I've introduced local arrangements, most recently within a CIC where we brought in experts to deliver sessions on specific aspects of savings and investments. This tends to be an area where HR professionals are overly cautious and my perception would be that this emanates from a lack of understanding coupled with the high regulation surrounding the financial marketplace. This possibly won't be the case for your situation as you look like you're in Financial Central.
My recommendation would be to ascertain what aspect of financial management advice would be most welcome (capacity) and maybe run a trial session. For example where I was working we had final salary pension arrangements, so pension advice was low on the agenda. Tax efficiency through ISAs etc was very well received and gained the most positive feedback.
Hope this helps.

Hi Charlotte
Places I have worked at in the past have offered this as part of a wider flexible benefits programme. I have included some details here below:

Smaller businesses have recruited a local financial advisor to come in and speak with staff.
Where is your company based?
I hope this helps

Thanks Sarah, our HQ is based in Canary Wharf.
I will have a look to see if there are any locally.
