Flexible Working

I am updating our Flexible Working Policy and have heard that there were changes to legislation in February 2017 but I am not able to find these changes online, can anyone help with this please?

    Sorry for the late reply I have trawled PLC and I can't find any information on changes in February 2017, but I will keep looking! I did however find that there had been a consultation publised around Women and Work All Party Parliamentary Group publishes report on women returners at the end of January this year which stated that: but this was not a change in the legislation but a recommendation if that is what you saw?

    • The APPG made several recommendations to increase the uptake of flexible working. In particular, there should be a flexible working kitemark scheme with official accreditation and assessment. Senior managers should be seen to support flexible working and the government should consider introducing penalties for employers that limit flexible working where business performance would not be harmed. Job descriptions and advertisements should include information on flexible working options. The term "agile working" should replace "flexible working" to avoid connotations that the issue is only relevant to women and mothers working part-time.
    As this is a cross-party report on best practice, it is unclear at this stage whether any of these recommendations will be given further investigation or supported by any of the political parties.
    I would be curious if anyone else has come across anything in relation to Jane's request please do share!
