Being a newbie to the world of HR, are there idioms that HR practitioners have in a similar way to us H&S practitioners such as;
If it looks unsafe it probably is......
Use your brain - avoid the strain.....
Whilst on a ladder, never step back to admire your work.......

Also 'It is what it is, let's move forward from here' :)
I have to confess, I'm not a huge fan of the term 'reach out'.....
'Let me reach out to you', 'Thanks for reaching out', 'I think we should reach out to them'
Ewwww!
I'm definitely not a fan of 'sweating the assets' especially when used about people........

Great post and one that brought a smile to my face - not sure these are HR Idioms are not but some phrases that spring to mind
- Let's kick the tyres on this one
- Time to think out of the box
- They have a lot on their plate
- It's a win-win situation
- let's crunch the numbers
- put it on the back burner
- time to ramp it up
