Hi, when a salary is pro rata, in this particular case because the person works in a school and is not paid during the school holidays, and a days unpaid leave is taken, the amount taken was the full time equivalent daily rate and not the pro rata daily rate, is that correct?

Hi, Thank you all for your help, all the messages went into my email spam folder and being new the the site I didn't think to check for responses. Much appreciated.
Hi Amber, I work in an Academy and Sarah asked me your question but I couldn't find you on the community.
If you need any further information please let me know (or Sarah who can contact me).
Thanks, Nikki
Hi Amber
I asked my learners who work in the academy they said the following to your query:
Basically it is correct, salary is taken as fte as their holiday is all rolled into their annual salary amount.
I hope this helps!
Sarah
Thanks Sarah, I couldn't find Amber on the community the other day to respond.
I've also replied to her so she has my details now, should she need any further information.
Thanks again.
Thanks Nikki you're a star ;-) and great to share knowledge within the Community. Chat soon Sarah
Hello Sarah, no they are full time and permanent but a teaching assistant, the school is an academy.
Morning Amber
Sounds like we need some specialist input here around calculations for teaching staff, I'm sorry it is not something I am familiar with.
Usually I would calculate a day's leave by dividing the salary by 260.
Can anyone on the Community help Amber?
I've also emailed a couple of my learners who I know work in an Academy enviornment to see if they can help!
All the best
Sarah
Hi Amber
Why are they not paid during the school holidays are they a casual worker?
Kind regards
Sarah
