The Learning and Performance Institute have this year introduced three new awards for their annual Learning Awards. Held next year on 1st Feburary at The Dorchester Hotel in London, the event itself has been described by host Claudia Winkleman as being 'Better than Christmas!'

Closing date for applications to the awards is 29th September when your application will be reviewed by a panel of learning specialist judges. The awards brand new for the next awards include a Digital Learning Transformation Award which will be presented to an organisation that has transformed it's delivery, products or services by using digital learning tools. There's also a learning futures award for the organisation that can most demonstrate their use of new technologies such as AI, virtual reality or augmented reality. The third of the three new additions will be presented to an individual who has shown exceptional promise and made an impact with less than ten years in the L&D industry.

The new awards sit alongside the existing list of categories. Entry is free and open to anyone in learning, anywhere in the world. To be in with a chance of winning one of these coveted awards, you need to submit your entry by 29th September 2017.

Are you entering your team or any individuals for the Learning Awards or other industry awards this year? What do you think the challenges will be? Have you previously enterered? Perhaps you're already an award winner. What have you found, or do you expect to find, the benefits of winning an award are?

I'd love to hear from you. Discuss below:
