If you've not followed the work of Harold Jarche before then this is a great article to introduce yourself to his work.

Harold has been blogging since well, blogging was possible and has seen the web evolve from it's inception to what we have today. He is considered by many as a thought leader in the networked era of learning and whilst I often scoff at self labelled 'thought leaders', Harold doesn't' label himself but he's the real deal.

This post I want to bring your attention to was first featured in the Learning Technologies Maagzine back in the ancient times of 2014 http://viewer.zmags.com/publication/38b45363#/38b45363/14

Give it a read now - go on, make a quick brew or close your emails down and give the article your full attention.

Are you back?

Awesome....

It's the image below and his comments about working / learning out loud that really resonate with me as community manager. Primarily because it's getting people to share what they are thinking about, working on and problems they are trying to solve that creates a lot of content for communities and people to discuss and learn from.

A little while ago Martin Couzins, Ady Howes and myself discussed whether or not we could use a Community Group to bring people in this community together to work and learn out loud - a little experiment whether or not we can apply the seek > sense > share framework.

Like anything these things take time, energy and effort but reading this article made me think it's time to give it the energy it deserves and open the opportunity up for anyone who wants to learn more.

So if you're interested then head over the Working More Openly group and sign up.

I'll be touch shortly after and we will collectively discuss how we can apply this framework to our shared learning
