10 Skills you Need to Thrive

do love a bit of future focused thinking and have written / shared some great content about skills for HRskills for L&D and the future of work before. 

It's important to keep updated with how work is changing, the impact that technology is having on the workplace and how we work, new business models replacing the traditional and always keeping an eye on what skills are going to be required as the 'war for talent' will only keep heating up. 

All of this will impact HR more than most other departments so if HR doesn't keep it's knowledge and skills up to date then we're fighting a losing a battle and risk losing credibility and our ability to influence and guide decisions around employee experience and working conditions to name but two.

I found this infographic from consultants Guthrie-Jenson which provides an in-depth look at the skills employees will need to thrive in 2020 and what the fourth industrial revolution actually is - 2020 may seem futuristic but it's less than 3 years away. What I like about the infographic is that it also shows the most in demand jobs and what sectors will also thrive as well.

When you compare it with other posts such as skills we'll need in the 21st century you can start to see the themes developing and similarities in terms of what we need to succeed and build ourselves successful careers!
