Embracing the New World of Work

Embracing the New World of Work

Is this year’s theme at the CIPD Annual Conference & Exhibition (ACE) on the 8th & 9th November in Manchester. The theme is intended to draw attention to a range of topics around the major shifts that are affecting organisations, the HR profession, and the world of work at large.

Topics include

  • The digitalisation of work
  • The impact of technology on jobs
  • The macro socio-political changes around us
  • The Increased pace of organisational transformation

In the lead up to ACE we’ll be catching up with last year’s blog squad to find out what they have seen change since the last event, and to ask them what they are hoping to see from this year’s event.

You can take a look at last year’s themes from talented artist Simon Heath who captured what people were saying in a really creative way. Watch the video below.

So let’s fast forward 12 months and are we going to see the same themes dressed up using different terminology or is progress being made and change ACTUALLY happening in the HR profession and crucially is change happening in the organisations we work in.
