<p>The annual conference of Association for Talent Development (ATD) runs for four days and is attended by tens of thousands from around the world. DPG’s Community <a href="https://twitter.com/Community_Mike" target="_blank">Mike Collins</a> presented his session 'Developing a learning community that works'. The session was designed to provide those attending with a useful framework to help them harness the power of both on and offline communities for learning. Mike encouraged those attending to think about the purpose and product of their communities, the people involved, the platform and the ‘Pied Piper’ required to lead communities of practice to success.</p>
<p>Speaking after his session, Mike said 'Massive thanks to everyone who got involved in conversations. Conversations were the powerful thing in the session. It's where people come together and share ideas which is the basis of a community of practice.'</p>
