How Happy Are You at Work?

How Happy Are You at Work?

How happy are you and your people at work? The topic of happiness in the workplace is something so simple that we sometimes overlook it. Yet it is important enough that we should focus much of our efforts towards it. Even more so when running a business or managing a team.

Recent studies show how happy employees are 12% more productive. Yet, as you will see in the infographic below, almost no workplace in the United Kingdom is really happy. When asked how happy they were on a scale from 1 (very unhappy) to 5 (very happy) hardly any employee answered 4 or above.

Happiness throughout the UK appears to be average at best. Therefore, the infographic also illustrates what aspects of their workplace employees would like to improve. If you ever wondered what are the most and least happy places to work in the UK, look no further because we have the answers, and more.

It looks like your best bet for a happy workplace would lie in a human resources job in Wales, while restaurants and those working in the tourism industry in Northern Ireland seem to have it the worst!

How does your organisation stack up? What happens in your organisation to influence happiness at work?
