Learning Live: Live L&D Broadcasts This week on the DPG Community

The first ever live broadcast of an L&D event will be streamed here on the DPG Community at 8pm tomorrow night and 10am Thursday morning. The broadcasts are coming from Learning Live, an annual event hosted in London by the Learning and Performance Institute (LPI) kicking off the Autumn run of L&D conferences.

There are a variety of sessions in the programme for those that attend and we’ll be streaming two of these on the L&D Zone of the community. The broadcast is being made possible by Learning Now TV, an online TV channel with content dedicated to Learning and Development. The channel which launched last year is free to subscribe to and provides members with access to a live monthly broadcast of the programme along with a library of on-demand previously broadcast programmes and content.

The broadcast is great for your own personal development. All you need do, is head to the DPG Community L&D Zone and click on the Play Button in the Pick of the Day window at the times of the sessions shown below. You can access the live event on the DPG Community on your PC, mobile or tablet. Don’t forget you can also follow the conversation at the event on Twitter and Martin Couzins has published this useful article on how to do so: How to use Twitter to follow conferences from your desk and on the go.

This is a great opportunity for you to enjoy some personal development on these two not to be missed first ever live L&D conference broadcasts.

Wednesday 9th September 8.00pm to 8.30pm – Future of Education (Steve Wheeler)

Steve Wheeler is the event’s after-dinner speaker and is regularly invited to present his unique perspectives on the future of education, emerging pedagogies, new media and technology supported learning.

Thursday 10th September 10.00am to 11.00pm – How do we maximise our potential and that of those around us? (Jamil Qureshi)

To drive meaningful change within others or ourselves we need to understand the difference between commitment and compliance. One of the most influential figures in British sport, performance psychologist, business coach and author Jamil Qureshi takes us through a practical understanding of how to cultivate mind-sets for optimising talent.

  • Morning All. The broadcast of Learning Live on the DPG Community was delayed last night until 9pm due to the event running a little behind. If you still got chance to tune in, great news, but if not, I would expect a replay will be available in the future. If it is, I'll post a link to it.

This morning's broadcast is one not to miss as Jamil Qureshi explores maximising our potential and that of others around us. It's be going live around 10am and you can access it by clicking the play button on the home page of the DPG Community.

    • Hi Ady,

Apologies if I have missed a post, I was looking for the link to the broadcast last week. Do you have it?

      • Hi Helen,

The broadcast was hosted by Learning Now TV. As far as I know, the replay hasn't yet been published. I think when it is it will be published on their website so it might be worth signing up free at Learning Now TV to get any emails to do with that (plus you'll get access to all the other content too.

If I hear when it has been published, I'll pop a comment on here.

        Ady
