Let's bust those Apprenticeship Levy Myths......

Happy National Apprenticeship Week 2018!

National Apprenticeship Week is a celebration of apprenticeships in England. This is an opportunity to showcase how apprenticeships work and encourage more people to choose an apprenticeship as a pathway to a great career.

I think it's also an ideal time for the levy paying employers to ask themselves the question :

Are we effectively re-investing the levy to grow our own talent and/or recruiting new talent?

I was reading an article last week, busting five myths about the Apprenticeship Levy. I have attached the link to this below.

https://www.fenews.co.uk/press-releases/16261-apprenticeship-levy-five-myths-busted

I found it interesting that some organisations think that they can only use the levy for new starter apprenticeships, when in reality it can also be used to put existing employees through an apprenticeship. Apprenticeships are a great way to grow and invest in talent and development within an organisation.

It would be good to hear any success stories, from community members working in levy paying organisations.

Are there any other myths that you know of regarding the apprenticeship levy that you can share?

Please add your comments/stories below....
