It's Not Farewell Community Mike - The Journey Continues

It's a strange day here at DPG as Mike Collins leaves the team and heads off for pastures new. But it's not farewell Mike. The journey continues.

Mike is the genius brains behind the DPG Community which has grown over five years to become what it is today; thousands of HR and L&D professionals connected in one big community of practice. People who connect, share and learn from each other. We are extremely proud of the DPG Community and the impact it has had on the development of many. The DPG Community Team has grown from strength to strength and we're looking forward to taking the baton continuing the great space we have. We're looking forward to having all our community members with us every step of the way and we thank you for being part of what we have here.

We couldn't let the moment slip by without a few words from Mike, so I grabbed the chance to talk to him in this fifteen minute chat. We reflect on the journey of the DPG Community, talk through the examples of how it has added value for so many and give you a sneak peak into what's ahead for the future.

But it isn't farewell Mike. It sounds like he's got plans to be around in the future. We look forward to staying connected ;-)

Have a listen.

  • 'Hey Mike

Enjoy the next part of your journey and go inspire. I remember when I went on the Kirkpatrick course with DPG many moons ago and had a 'deja vu' moment of... its Mike form DL. (You must have only been 5 when you were working in DL I reckon!)

You will always be great at whatever you do, you have educated, motivated and entertained many with your expertise and wit.

Stay connected and all the best on your journey Tickster xx

  • Aw love this podcast! Taking it back to the beginning, the "birth" of the DPG Community.

Really sad to be seeing Mike leave but he's on to a new exciting journey!!

You brought me in to DPG as an excited ( but very nervous) 16 year old apprentice and you have truly played a big part in making me the person and professional that I am today :)

Mike's been a huge part in not only building this innovative platform, but also in contributing to many professionals (and my own) development :) And not to forget his contribution to getting DPG and the brand to where it is today!

So, basically, thank you Mike for everything you've done for everyone :) Good luck in your future journeys!!

  • Love this, I listened to it last night.

Mike thanks for everything you have done for the learners, facilitators and DPG as a whole.  You have certainly helped our learners become better and for that I thank you. You always think of the 'why are we we doing this' and 'what does it mean to our learners, partners and staff'.

Remember when you walk into your new office take a deep breath and take in the DNA.  Then make it better but still with that DNA at the heart.

Good luck and keep in touch.  As Ady says we are expecting lots of blogs on your continued journey

    All the Best

  • Oh Mike, Good Luck for the future.  I am so sorry DPG are losing you as you are brilliant at helping students and tutors alike! You certainly have helped me.

The community is a great space.

    Best wishes

  • Good Luck Mike - Thanks for all your support
