What are your key challenges for 2019?

At this time of year, we spend time thinking about the year that lies ahead and what content would be useful for our thousands of community members. The DPG Community is designed to bring you content that is fresh, up to date and relevant to your professional development needs. Whether you're working on a new recruitment process, introducing a new system, thinking about performance management or a development programme for leaders we can always find something that supports you.

But I need your help. I'd much rather be planning content that supports what you actually need, so there lies my question:

What do you need?

Have a think about the year that lies ahead. What are you working on? What's the strategical objectives of your department? What knowledge do you need? Where do you most need some support?

Please do take a few moments to let us know in the comments on this article. it will be hugely helpful to us in making sure the content that we plan in for the DPG Community is relevant to your needs...

Don't delay.... comment today!!

Thanks. And Happy New Year to you.

  • HNY Ady, and thanks for all you do to continue providing fab content and resources for everyone in the DPG community!

Got my L&D hat on this year. I'd love to hear what other folk are doing in the world of mandatory/regulatory training. How do they approach it? eLearning? Face-to-face training? One-off? What are the developments/trends in this area? What bold moves are organisations/companies taking to help engage their learners with what's often seen as dry/stuffy/legalese-laden content to move away from a 'tick in the box exercise'?

    • Hi Gillian,

Thank you for your reply and for your lovely comments too. Very much appreciated.

It's a great conversation to have and I think you should kick off a discussion on this on the L&D zone. You can do so from the home page > Start a Discussion > L&D zone or just by clicking this link: https://community.dpgplc.co.uk/learning-professionals/discussion/new

I also remember writing this article a few years back on engaging eLearning. It's well worth a look at what's happening on this one. We had great fun turning boring topics into something a bit more engaging. You'll find it on this link: https://community.dpgplc.co.uk/blog/engaging-elearning-the-journey-...

Keep in touch and let us know your journey as it unfolds.

      Ady
