Hi Everyone. I ran this webinar 3 months ago. We've had lots of people join DPG programmes and progress to different stages in their programmes since then so I figured that I should repeat this session. Maybe you weren't in the Community last time I ran it, maybe it's more relevant to you now than it was then or maybe you attended last time and you want a refresher. If any of those situations ring true, or indeed you have another reason for attending, then you are invited!
I'm planning to keep it to 30 minutes this time. We'll go for a punchy quick pace to make an impact - and leave you more time for your lunch plans (more importantly).
Here's the explanation I wrote in the build-up to the first time I ran this session:
We've had a few requests in the Community where people would like to know how to build reference lists and bibliographies manually. This could be something that you are interested in if you haven't got access to the tool in Microsoft WORD that does this automatically for you or if you just want to learn how to do it.
Bring along some sources, maybe a book or website, and we'll work through some examples on screen.
This won't be a polished PowerPoint driven session - for the most part, it will be me sharing a blank document on screen and working through examples live and off the cuff - it'll be like live TV (warts and all)!
Anyone from any programme (and even if you aren't studying a DPG unit) is welcome. I'll see you then.

I think you might have clicked on the link to the event. The event took place on 22nd January which is why you get the message that the event is over. Take a look lower down in this thread and you'll find where I have posted the recording.

Gutted I missed this but so glad you've hosted and recorded a new session, thank you! I do have a question - do we reference and provide a bibliography at the end of each individual essay within each assignment OR just at the end of the assignment as an ‘overall’ reference and bibliography list? I would go for a reference and bibliography list on each template (if that template has referenced work e.g. you wouldn't necessarily be expected to reference a CPD log).
Which unit at you studying?
Hi Gary, thanks for coming back to me. So, I'm only just in the process of working my way through the first assessments for level 5 module one - please don't judge me! I’m going back through and tweaking my work but for example, DVP assessment activity 1 has A and C which I have either referenced, cited or accessed links to support my work. I'm manually completing my referencing etc but would I submit the reference list and bibliography at the ‘end’ of assessment activity 1 as a ‘collective’ or should I submit a reference and bibliography list at the end of each section i.e. separate one for A and separate one for C? Apologies if I’m over-complicating it!

That's the best way: two lists at the end of the main body of work.
