10 Corporate Buzzwords You Need to Get Rid Of

Came across this and thought it would be a good share - L&D and HR are notorious for using jargon, abbreviations and a different language to our business buddies. Buzzwords are plentiful and we're all probably guilty of using 1 or 2 buzzwords.

So which buzzwords would you like to see the back of? Take a look at the infographic below from OfficeVibe - the full article can be accessed here

Do you know any other corporate buzzwords that you'd like to see the back of?

  • I heard many times "You need to think out of the box" phase. I think Google company is guilty of this term. I hear they ask and want they employees to think out of the box all the time.

  • Smug face - none of those are of my usual vocabulary. I'm sure I'm guilty of a few others though!
  • Call me a wild running-dog of neologistical conservatism, but couldn't we revivify existing terminology, respectively:

    1. Novel

    2. Additive

    3. Privately

    4. Self-interest

    5. Determined

    6. Reconvene

    7. Credulous

    8. Progress

    9. Review

    10. Deadline

    (Clever marketing ploy) :-))))

As an alternative to 'Officevibe' might I suggest the slightly longer, but more useful, "DPG Level 7 Leadership and Managment Module, a piece of paper and a pen"?

    Sincerely,

    • Love this Les - it did make me smile :)
