CIPD Level 5 Diploma in HR

Hi All,

I can't believe I'm writing this as I feel a little embarresed but I joined DPG back in 2019 to start my course and as of yet I have completed the e-learning for DVP, prepped for the assessment but I can't bring myself to start the actual assignment.

I feel like I need to just restart again as it has been so long, lots of drastic changes have happened in my life since november 2019 and I think I could really do with a support network with people in the same boat to finally start and fingers crossed complete this course.

I've just started a new job and have a 6 month old to work around but I'm really determined to make it work this time.

Also, I've been out of education a few years and I think I'm just a bit worried about actually writing the assessments.

If anyone has recently started or has struggled to get past the first hurdle and wants to form a bit of a support/study group then please let me know.

    Yes I had to get an extension, time is a huge challenge so I totally feel you - especially with a little one inbound.
    
    I emailed the DPG team and they were really helpful so you can get in touch with them and ask for help - they do charge for them though but still if you have made progress it's worth it to get a bit of extra breathing space. x

Hi Hannah,

I'm in a similar situation to yourself. I started the course back in 2019, and struggled with the 1st assignment. I have passed the second one, and now stuck on the third one. With everything with Covid, I was then made redundant which demotivated me even more.

I'm lucky to have a new job now, but with the contraints of work and home life balance I'm struggling to get myself motivated as well. I would be interested in joining a support/study group as there are times that I feel having a group to bounce ideas of would help.

Hi Hannah,

I joined the course in June 2020 and in a similar position to many others on this forum.
I have passed DVP and HRF, waiting feedback for UIN and have corrections to make for CHR and EML.

I would be keen to join the support group, I'm completing the diploma and working on my referred modules now before tackling RMT, RST and DER.

I feel like I've caught myself up quite quickly and really started getting into it in August this year.
