Hi Everyone,
So I'm trying to benchmark my company against others in terms of company sick leave and pay policies.
We curretly offer staff between 5 and 10 paid sick days a year then SSP, if they qualify.
How big is your company and what do you offer?

Hi Hanna,
We are around 55 employees, and offer 5 days' sick leave in a calendar year, however this is at line manager's discretion.

Hi Hanna,
I was happy to see that other people are trying to compare sick pay as it has become a topic for conersation where i am.
We currently have around 40 employees and offer 20 days full and 20 days halfon a rolling 12 month period but only after they have been under employment for 15 months.
Kind regards
James
Hi Hanna
Considering the size of my organisation (SME) our sick pay is very good! The below is on a 12 month rolling period:
Between 6 months and 2 years service - 30 days full pay
Between 2 and 4 years service - 60 days full pay
4 years+ service - 90 days full pay
Thank you Amy, yes that is good for an SMW.

Hi Hanna,
We have around 50 employees within the organisation and we offer five paid sick days per calender year. This starts from the time the employee has passed their probation period which is currently set at 6 months and is down to Line Manager discretion.

Thank you

Morning Hanna
So I provide HR services to clients typically SMEs, we have over 200+ clients and I woul say 90% of SMEs offer SSP only, and it is typically discretionary if any sick pay is paid,
Within my business, we provide 2 weeks' CSP.
Here is also a survey from UNISON where they compare sick pay schemes,

I do hope this helps!

Thank you

Hi Hanna,
We have around 160 employees and provide up to 4 weeks sick pay for employees who have been with us up to 4 years and then 6 weeks for employees who have been with us for 4 years and over. Once they have expired their sick pay, and if they qualify they receive SSP. This is done on a rolling 12 months. We do have strict policy guidelines and employees must ensure they follow the correct procedures in order to get paid.
I hope this helps.
Kind regards
Kay
Thank you, that's helpful.
