Did you know that if you go to the list of members, the Members Online button will show you who is online right now? Why not say hello?
Did you know your local CIPD branch will put on relevant events that are free to CIPD members.
Take a look for your local branch here and what events are happening. Remember attending these events are great CPD evidence.

Hi Pheobe,
I work for a relatively large organisation with a diverse workforce and these are a few examples of what our engagement team organise:
* International Mens/Womens day
* Co-ordinating with the bistro to provide themed days with different cultures
* Celebration days, emails etc. making employees aware of what the festive day is, background history etc.
I really like the idea of the Diversity Champions, getting a team of people who represent the majority of the company to organise events that represent the culture!
Hi Pheobe,
I too work in an organisation with a very diverse workforce. We have multiple groups within the organisation promotion diversity with the organisation, some are known as 'Diversity champions' and the other group is the Diverse Ethnic Action Network. The members of these groups quite often post on our work intranet to inform people of days dedicated to diversity. Recently we have celebrated black history month, during this a number of employees came in wearing clothing that resembled their cultural background. This was such a nice way to celebrate as everyone could see the beauty of different cultures and the diversity in our workforce.
This is just one of a number of things I have noticed in my short time working in my current organisation.
Hope this helps a little.
Cheryl
