But whilst we are are on the subject of dress codes did anyone see the info below re the exemption for Sikhs wearing safety helmets to be extended from the 1st October 2015? I remember being asked this on site once where a chap who was Sikh refused to wear a safety helmet and the manager wanted guidance whether this was failure to follow safety rules (and therefore failure to follow a lawful and reasonable instruction).
