Hi All
I am currently on a project team looking at what our Company can do to expand our currently policy on flexible working. I would be extremely grateful if you could give me your thoughts on the following:
- Have you implement an unusual flexible working across your organisation?
- Have you implemented a change where employees are given set hours, however they can choose the work pattern?
- How do you monitor such patterns?
- Is there any evidence to show that these patterns create further engagement with employees?
Your help would be fab.
Many thanks
Donna

Great question....in brief....our core flexible working offering is a flexi time scheme managed and monitored by a third party time and management system. We do not set core hours for any areas of the business, but it operates between 7am and 7pm with the ability to accrue up to nearly one and a half days flexi time per month. Work patters are subject to the needs of the business but there are set patterns as a guide. Its been our number one choice of employee benefits on offer now for several years and also a great offering within our recruitment and retention process. The analytics for our 'wellbeing' offering reflect that employees are engaged in this area.
But each company is different of course, you'd need to reflect on whether that might be suitable/appropriate/workable for yours - its horse for courses and wouldn't have worked well in other companies I've been with in the past.
Thanks Jason. I appreciate your response. How many employees do you have and are you mainly office based?
