Taking on knowledge and developing new skills is one thing. But how do you capture, reflect and embed your learning?

Here's something I came across a little while ago when one of our HR programme participants shared with me what is the best notepad I've ever seen. She gave me permission to share with you all. There are screen shots of some of our online learning units, printed out and stuck into a notepad. Below each section she has written her notes, key points and thoughts.

It's like a scrap book of learning, but more than just scraps. A whole combination of information, learning, insight and reflection. What a great idea. Not only is this a reference point for the knowledge she has gained, but also useful I would imagine in taking her learning back into the workplace. Just imagine the depth of conversation if she's asked by her manager what she has learned.

Whatever you're learning, it is important and vital to reflect, capture your thoughts and consider how this might effect your day to day world.

How do you capture and embed your learning throughout your studies? I'd be interested to hear what tips you have to share.
