I must admit I had not even heard of this practice until a discussion on the radio this morning.

Albeit I had heard of skills tests, but not where people were working full shifts,

It will be interesting to see where this one goes as it is clear there needs to be some checks and balance so some employers do not abuse this.

But also there needs to be a pragmatic balance so an organisation can undertake effective assessments.
