INVESTIGATIVE OFFICER

HI Everyone

We've recently had a new Area Manager join our Team who appears to have a reasonable understanding of employment law.  However she has requested that the investigative officer in a gross misconduct case place a witness statement within the evidential bundle.  I have advised that this is not correct due to potential appeal bias.  The officer could place a timeline of events found but as they were not a part of the 'witnessing' they should not.

Can you corroberate that I am correct.

Thanks Nic
