I once worked with a manager who when asking for an herbal tea, used to shout across the office "Can you go and make me a gay cup of tea?"
When I explained to him that others may find this slightly offensive i.e. the inference that herbal tea was a lesser substitution for 'normal' tea, he just didn't get it and when I explained that even if I wasn't gay that I could be offended by the remark well I totally lost him there..........
