I am currently undertaking a consulation period for our cleaners and they will be starting night hours - 'night work'. Does anyone have any advice on what is required to cover the business for Night Workers.
I understand a Health Questionnaire is required - any ideas on what questions need to be asked in this or where I could find a comphrensive or legally compliant copy?
Is the questionnaire enough once employeed or do we need to provide/offer a medical check up at the doctors? If so, is it enough to pay for this or do you need to send them to a Company doctor?
Any advice or guidance woudll be much appreciated.

Hi Dianah,
I quickly googled for you and found this link which was very clear and looked like a good starting point to me. It is Scottish and I know laws in Scotland differ to ours sometimes.
Not being in HR I am not sure in this case whether or how the laws differ. But in any case I think you'll find it interesting. I haven't read the relevant regulations but I think I will later when I get a minute.
