I am going to be starting my CIPD Level 5 in 6 weeks. In the next couple of years I may be moving to the United States of America. I wish to be able to practice HR and work as an HR Advisor while I am there as I will be there for 5 years or more.

Is anyone aware of whether the qualifications that can be gained through DPG are recognised across the pond or will I be considered to be wholly without valid qualification and will be trying to get work out there purely on the number of years experience I can rack up in my desired role as an HR Advisor.

Has anyone here practiced in the US or knows what it is like to do so over there and what the expectations are?

Some guidance would really be appreciated.
