Referencing

Hi everyone. Looking for guidance. Harvard referencing is recommended. However, many of my references are unnamed authors on the CIPD website so I have a few which would be (CIPD.co.uk, 2020) in the text, which wouldn't be specific to the correct page on the CIPD website. To get round this I used the number method which is easier as then you can point directly to the reference you mean in the list at the end of the assignment.. However, my feedback has asked me to reference using the words method. How do you point in the to the correct reference, in the text, without writing out the whole web address, which would inflate the work count too much, if you cant use numbers? Anyone got a method which was accepted? TIA

  • Hi Julia,

I had the same issue when completing my Level 5 - I set this out by using letters in my in-text citations to differentate between the different sources, i.e. CIPD, 2020a, CIPD, 2020b etc.

In the bibliography I did the same i.e. CIPD (2020a) TITLE [online], link & access date.

    Hope this helps!
