Hi, I've been tasked with overhauling our appraisal process or lack of!
My MD is really keen on my ideas to bring in some L&D alongside the appraisals don't suppose anyone has worked with any appraisal software, I'm lucky enough to have an MD willing to spend money to help me track the process along with metrics etc so wondered if anyone had used or was aware of a well regarded cost effective software? That may have extras such as softskill learning platforms
Thanks, Lindsey

Hi Lindsey
We use a system called PROpel which falls under Unicorn Training.
It's an e-learning platform with thousands of modules from bitesized learning to longer, thorough material. You can set specific ones as mandatory for all employees to complete if you wish. You can run reports to see who has completed what as well.
PROpel allows you to create flow forms which we use for the appraisal process. It's up to you how you structure it but in our form, employees complete Part A (their objectives as discussed at the beginning of the year) and B (which discusses their performance, achievements and challenges etc.) and when complete, the employee submits it to their line manager who can either return the form back to the employee with updates/suggestions or they can accept it, enter their performance rating and comments and return to the employee. You can also run reports on the system to show the completed status of forms. The employee can go back to their form and amend at any point throughout the year, however once they submit the line manager has to send it back for them to make any more updates.
I don't know the cost but it is effective. The only issues we have had is setting up reports and the form itself as it can be a little techy but once up and running it's super simple and all contained in one system.

Hi Lindsey, we don't have a specific appraisal software, but I created 3 elearnings that work alongside our appraisal process. Every month (in their probabtion period) the team member goes on to the LMS and fills out what is essentially a survey. I then pull those responses from the platform and make them nicer to read and send to the manager. I use Articulate 360, which I swear by for all our content on the platform :)
Hope this helps!
