There is a great article by Steven Wainwright for the Training Journal that I came across this morning, with some top tips on engaging the modern learner.
Some of the key points I took away from this are :
1. Creating a digital workplace that supports people and processes is crucial. By making learning mobile information becomes instantly accessible anytime & anywhere.
2. Taking a top-down approach. Senior Leaders need to buy-in to the learning programme as well and highlight learner success within the organisation.
3. Social Learning - Incorporating game-based elements within in learning to encourage participation and competition. The social element drives engagement and motivation.
4. Curation - By having a content curation strategy in place it helps learners make sense of the resources for themselves.
