Back in 2011 I managed to interview Nigel Harrison at the World of Learning Conference about his concept of performance consulting. You can see the interview above. His is a provocative and challenging message and one of the key take-aways is around being able to challenge clients and stakeholders over the business need of a learning intervention. At the heart of this is asking questions to establish whether or not a learning intervention is the answer to a performance or business problem. What questions would you ask to establish whether there was a business need for learning?
