Apologies if this topic has been posted previously but....do any of you ask new employeess to complete e-Learning before starting work? I ask as we have 6 mandatory courses but 2, I feel are essential to a new starter. These being GDPR & Cyber Security. An idea has been to ask them to complete these prior to their first day.
I'd be keen to hear of any experiences out there.
Thanks,
Martyn

Thanks folks, great to hear what goes on elsewhere.I suppose driving completion of these courses will never be easy! Take care,
Hi Martyn, we work on the same lines as Adrian, on day 1 there are 5 courses to complete, from GDPR, PCI DSS to Fire Safety, then the new starter has 30 days in which to complete the rest of the course.
Thanks, Charlie
hi,
with our new starters we broke down the e-learning in two time periods, they have to do the first ones in 3mths and finish the rest by the 6mth, if they are going into the office then we have them do e-learning on the cyber security and GDPR as part of their induction which is spread over two days and must complete them before getting their laptops.
not sure if this is any help to you but thought i would let you know
