The L&D Forum

A four-day event kicks off today bringing insights and inspiration on learning technologies from around the world. Hosted by Sponge UK, an award winning custom e-learning provider, the event has a variety of sessions designed to engage you in the latest thinking on learning technologies. The event is packed with discussions and case studies delivered through a mix of video and live sessions throughout the week. Content includes a look at the use of video in learning, games and gamification, social learning, engaging with a global workforce and much more. I'm particularly looking forward to some of the case studies. We'll hear about which include how Royal Mail used interactive video to improve organisational performance and later in the week on Thursday, we'll hear how Southern NHS Foundation Trust is boosting employee engagement in compliance whilst saving time and money.

The free-to-attend event commences today with a launch event on Google hangout at 1pm (UK British Summer Time). During this session, you'll hear from a panel from across the world discussing the global differences in the learning technology industry and what can be learned from each other. The panel includes some inspirational leaders in learning technology, which include Nicola Appel (International Community Manager at Articulate), David Kelly (Senior VP and Executive Director at Elearning Guild), Donald H Taylor (Chairman of the Learning and Performance Institute and Chairman of the Learning and Skills Group) and Con Sotodis (Learning and Performance at LearnKotch Consulting).

To get details of how to access the sessions and content and be a part of this event, it's simply a case of registering free on the Big Sponge Hangout site.
