Hi Folks

It was wonderful to see so many people from so many different programmes in the referencing webinar. Let's keep the chat going!

Keep us up to date with how you are getting on with referencing. Questions welcome.

If you missed the webinar it's totally fine - I understand that it is not always convenient to attend these things and I'd love it if you got involved in the chat all the same!

:)

Here's a link to the document that I was using on screen: http://docs.dpgplc.co.uk/Online_HRM_Community/How_to_use_referencing_in_your_work.pdf.pdf

As I mentioned towards the end of the webinar there, I'm planning on putting on more webinars, where everyone is welcome, to look at other study skills e.g. coping with word counts and understanding assessment terminology. Let me know what you think of that idea of if you have any requests.

  •  Hi Gary

Thanks for a great refresher on Manual Referencing. I'm planning to use Automated referencing in Word and you eluded to a couple of useful videos you've done on the subject, I think you put the links to those videos in the session chat? Are you able to put them in this thread?

    Thanks

    Mike

  • I watched the recording Gary and it's been a great help to me.  The DPG Referencing Guide and List Matrix referred to and used in the webinar makes it clear what needs to be included and how it should be formatted.  Thank you.

  • Anne Morton , just in case the email didn't work - this is the thread I mentioned.

    :)

  • Great session!

Just one question, is there a tip sheet on Bibliographies, i know it is a list of all content reviewed rather than just content referenced but i am not sure if you need to repeat the content you have put in your reference list?

    Thanks in advance

    • Hi Jennie

You are correct to split the lists in the way you have said. No need to repeat in the bibliography that which you have mentioned in the reference list.

      :)

Glad you liked the session! Thanks for asking questions in the session and on here - it's that kind of interaction that adds to the experience.
