It’s just less than two weeks till one of the largest conferences and exhibitions for CIPD professionals opens the doors for a two-day event at Manchester Central. The CIPD Annual Conference and Exhibition runs on Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th November 2018.
The event is not just exclusive to CIPD members of a particular level or seniority. Anyone can attend. Actually, everyone probably should. Whether you’re HR professional, L&D or a manager or leader in an organisation, industry events centred around making the world of work a better place can only bring about good stuff.
Tickets to the exhibition are free, where you’ll get to network with thousands of other like-minded professionals and suppliers. Within the exhibition, there are plenty of free sessions on a variety of interesting topics that I always find incredibly valuable. If you’ve access to some development budget, I’d recommend purchasing a conference ticket, giving you access to longer and more in-depth conference sessions.
A couple of years ago at the same event, I got chance to catch up with Priya Gandhi on her debut visit to the conference where she was also involved in the team capturing learning from the day; ‘the Blog Squad’.
Here’s some of the tips she shared with me in getting the most out of conferences.
