CIPD Free Place Winner - Natalie Woods

CIPD Free Place Winner - Natalie Woods

We recently held our the third CIPD FREE place draw at DPG HQ. To summarise, a lucky CIPD student from each of our programme intakes gets the chance to get their fees refunded. Say hello to our third winner Natalie Woods who works for an international bookmakers. We caught up with Natalie and asked her how she felt when she found she had won and her experience so far on the DPG Programme.

How useful do you find the DPG Community at supporting you in your studies?

Very useful as it allows me to engage with delegates and find information to assist me moving forward, this through time will build my confidence as I lack the ability to communicate well with people I have not met, this is also enhancing my computing skills.

How would you describe your experience with DPG so far?

I have found this experience very exciting with a clear structure of how to move and gain knowledge in a wider circle than I am currently in.

What is the best thing about your DPG programme?

The learning process and the prospects of developing myself with potential to have a career change.

How did you feel when you heard you'd won the cost of your CIPD programme back?

Shocked as I had no idea I was in a prize draw, and I have never won any thing in my life. My own persona is to give to others rather than receiving,  personally recent weeks have been quite turbulent so this was a happy ending to such sad times in my personal life (My Guardian Angel is looking down on me).

What first made you choose DPG for your CIPD qualification?

After fully researching different sites I made contact with a lady called Uche she explained the process of the course outlined the details and the dates of the workshops including the venue, during conversation Uche made me feel confident in my own ability at no time did I feel pressured she also explained which course would be more suitable, I was given a reserved place that allowed me time to consider and if needed ask further questions. I felt like a valued customer with the confidence of Uche I would be able to complete and achieve the desired certificate.

How is the programme helping you back at work?

I have a different approach, more of thinking and planning my actions, it has also allowed me to display more HR skills as I find myself continually reading new policies or reviewing recent case studies in time this will develop me in a position of knowledge and will assist me to deliver the company's vision in a more effective manner.

Thank you so much for this and all the assistance I have received to date.

All students enrolled on a Spring 2015 programme will be eligible to be part of the next draw to take place.

  • Congratulations Natalie! As one of my favourite writers Iris Murdoch said about education...‘It opens our eyes, our ears, tells us where delights are lurking, convinces us that there is only one freedom of any importance whatsoever, that of the mind, and gives us the assurance – the confidence – to walk the path our mind, our educated mind, offers” This resonates with me so deeply. Dream big, work hard and I’m sure you’ll achieve remarkable things. Thanks for choosing DPG, we wish you the very best of luck!
