Hi all
As we know the Apprenticeship Levy is coming into effect by April 2017. It will affect all organisations whose wage bill of more than £3 million will have to pay a 0.5 per cent levy to fund apprenticeships. The broad aim is to raise £3bn a year to meet a target of three million new ‘high quality’ apprenticeships by 2020.
So, if this affects your organisation, what are they doing about it??
I have copied a link to a great CIPD article around the levy.

I was wondering if it would be a good idea to share our thoughts on what organisations are going to be doing and whether we could work together as a collaborative network to share ideas.
If you are interested in joining the network please let me know...
Together we learn ......

Hi Jenny

Hi,
I'd be interested in joining also.
At the moment we are aware of it and conversations have been had around how much will be in the pot... but not how we are going to spend it.
I'm starting to have conversations with relevant people about the opportunities for their areas.
One concern for us is that we have a portion of our workforce living in Wales so we need to make sure they are not 'left out' of any opportunities.

I would be interested in joining this network. 2017 will see our first real venture into apprenticeships and we have been looking at higher degree and functional programmes. No concrete plans yet but we are keen to share and collaborate
thanks
Juan
Great.. I am hoping that I will get an intern to help me with the research which we will be able to share
