Hi folks!
I am looking at rolling out some internal Team Building sessions with our newly recomposed Board, Im not looking for an external consultant or trainer though (sorry!).
Could anyone recommend any resources that may be available to buy or that could be used at that level please?
I'd be looking to roll this out in July as part of an ongoing induction and development programme which already supports the growth of their knowledge and skills following the introduction of a 70% new Board membership.
Any thoughts or recommendations appreciated please.
Some of the areas that might be considered could be ;
- Recognition of how NEDs can each add value through collaboration and innovation
- Increased personal contribution to the board.
- Dynamics of effective top teams that are accountable for the success of the business
- Characteristics of effective boards and NEDs
- Encouraging higher quality conversations
- Conversational intelligence (the ability to advance board dialogue in a way that serves the leadership of the organisation)

Hi Jason,
Hope you are well.
I'm not sure whether there's a specific purpose beyond team build or what budget you have..... but I've had some great days with the tools that Metalog supply. My particular favourites are the Tower of Power, SysTeam and Pipeline.
Cheers Ady, Ive added a bit more depth to my original post, it was a bit vague lol. Thanks for the leads, I'll have a look at them.
Ah. This is good thanks Jason. Love the extra detail. I think these team building activities that are posted are all well and good with a strong 'Why' behind them as you know.
I used the Pipeline one once where there were multiple teams, each team working on their own pipeline. The first round was a race, with the winning team being the first to get their ball to the finish line. The second, a more collaborative approach where the idea was that the teams had to get their balls to the finish line with no more than ten seconds of another team. This led to much more cross-team communication as each team had to work with the others to sort out timings.
Tower of Power looks great! Looks like a great company.
Thats definitely the right direction Im looking in....can I pick anyones brains if you have come across any more companies like that please?
