Fosway Group and Learning Technologies have compiled research from Europe’s leading digital learning customers and suppliers to create a fantastic infographic and supporting reports to decipher what the current trends in digital learning are. They investigated the measures of success for digital learning, where digital learning has the most impact and the drivers for digital learning.
Their research revealed that the technologies used in the mainstream markets are that of bespoke content, video content and blended learning and the mainstream platforms being LMS and analytics. They also looked at the quality of digital learning from suppliers, with bespoke e-learning, virtual classrooms and video all showing on the positive side and surprisingly LMS, gamification, analytics and MOOCs on the negative.
The data shows that the top 4 areas for increasing demand are video, mobile, blended and user generated content.
This research can really help to shape how we use and design digital learning in the future in order to provide the best experience for learners.
