Consultant and coach David Goddin asked a great question on Twitter yesterday. He asked why people in L&D/OD/talent tend to blog rather than video blog (vlog) - the post which prompted the discussion on Twitter is here.
I gave a video response on Periscope, a live streaming video app that works really well with Twitter. My feeling is that most L&D/OD professionals do not blog about their work based on the fact I haven't seen that many compared with the number who actually work in L&D/OD. I could be wrong, but if I am right why would that be? Is it about confidence, company policy? Those that do blog gain a lot from it professionally as it really helps their thinking. It seems like a good thing to be doing . . . what do you think?
