Over the last couple of years I've seen more and more people talk about working out loud.
This article explains what it is and why it is worth adopting as an approach to knowledge sharing in the organisation.
What do you think about the concept and how are you doing it?

Hi Martin
Have you seen anything about the WOL Circles?
Here is a WOL Circle Guide
We could look to get a WOL Circle going in WOL week with members from the Community who might want to be involved?
Mike
I really like the idea of doing something here - helping each other share. Any thoughts on how we do it anyone?!
I think working out loud is a fantastic way to help explain the importance of knowledge sharing and collaboration but also provides some suggestions on how to approach and encourage it. With more tools available to help the flow of information within an organisation and more and more organisations adopting these tools, there is a great opportunity for L&D to support and help people sharing their work and what they do.
However, technology and tools are merely enablers and even with the best collaborative and social tools available if the culture and mindset of the people who work there aren't social and collaborative then it's an uphill struggle and will get time, coaching and role modelling.
It's a bit like 'Learning at Work' week - it's not about a day where we focus on learning - this stuff should be happening every day and be part of the DNA or an organisation. It does help raise awareness which you can see has been done to great effect here at Boots from 2014.
So with this in mind it makes sense for there to be an international working out loud week that is the 16th-23rd November - so only a few weeks away.
Perhaps we should do something here and encourage our members to work out loud on their qualification journey or challenge them to write a blog about what they're doing?
I'd be interested in hearing how organisations are raising awareness about this and how L&D are supporting it.
Here is an image that helped me understand what #WOL (Twitter feed is great btw) is all about
Thanks for sharing these great resources, Mike. I really like the idea of encouraging each other to work out loud here during international working out loud week.
