Hi all
My organisation are looking to review the classifications we use for leavers. (They don't happen to often thankfully! but we want to ensure globally we have a better and more accurate list of reasons in SAP that we can then report on)
What I am looking for is information on the way do classify leavers in your organisation. For example: currently we have a relatively short list but it does include resignation due to relocation, resignation due to work life balance etc.
Any help will be much appreciated!

Hi Elizabeth
I found the info below on line from an University:
We also used to capture if someone was a good leaver or a bad leaver (I never liked this term!) for the purposes of our Share Incentive Plan (SIP) scheme. Interesting that they don't seem to capture leaving by reason of a settlement agreement especially as nowadays these tend to include agreement to provide a specific reference.
Does anyone out there work in an HR shared service environment where you capture this data?
Reason for leaving
3 End of fixed-term contract
4 Voluntary redundancy
5 Other redundancy
6 Resignation
7 Retirement* (excluding ill-health)
8 Death
9 Other (includes dismissal
and ill-health)
