I head this on the news on the way in today and the fact a BCC undercover reporter has been working for an agency (AHC services) contracted to deliver amazon goods.
On the back of Sports Direct and the damage that headlines such as the above can do to brand it will be interesting to see how this one plays out in the news.

When you also link this in with Theresa May's support for Modern Slavery although not directly linked, workers being advised to defecate in bags and urinate in bottles is a new low.
What are your thoughts in terms of how this could impact supply chain practices for big brands?
All the best

I was listening to this on the radio driving in to work today. Amazon and other big organisations use these contractors to deliver their products and I'm sure these contracts are gained on their 'value for money' or perceived profitability whether they pay them per item or annual contract on mass volume. Well whatever it is they are aware of these practices and most likely turn a blind eye - or don't care because it isn't them paying £2.50 an hour it is the contractor.
Ultimately we're all responsible for this as we now expect to pay as little as possible for our good and services - would we all be in uproar about this if it meant that we pay more at the 'tills' or through the 'online basket' I wonder? the only way these cheap good and services can be sold for the price with 'free delivery' etc is by making cost savings in this chain of supply. Now we know exactly where these costs saving are coming from.
I know Mike it did make me think when I was writing the above as a consumer how much my desire for low prices and free delivery drives this.
