Anyone wanted to know what "in furtherance of a trade dispute" actually means?

So you may have heard the news tonight and that the strike action tomorrow I will be going ahead for the sixth form colleges.

The news talked about whether the action was in furtherance of a trade dispute I have attached a PowerPoint below from the CIPD which explains this concept really well.

If you are about to embark on your Contemporary Developments in Employee Relations at Level 5 hopefully this will help, as this is an example of what we cover in the workshops.
