Hi
I am currently recruiting for a HR Manager and we have asked for them to be CIPD qualified. An applicant has stated that he has IPM Levels 1 and 2 which he states is equivalent to CIPD.
I have been unable to find out what Levels 1 and 2 are, can anyone please assist with this means?
Thank you.

The IPM used to be the Institute of Personnel Management I think, forerunner to CIPD before it rebranded.

1946 to 1994: Institute of Personnel Management (IPM)
Hope this helps, but I suspect your need for the answer is long gone, just stumbled across the thread (maybe help for others....who knows)
Thanks Jason, much appreciated.
No problem Michelle. The challenge came for me in a similar situation where someone then wanted to know the equivalency of the CIPD Chartered qualification academically.... upgrading to Chartered level you have to go through an upgrading process and so end up out of any qualifications frameworks currently being used it seems.
If you are still searching for an answer I happened to stumble across a mention of this qualification on another forum group about CIPD qualifications in a comment.
It suggested it was an older graduate CIPD qualification which was then known as IPM.
Hope you find the answer
Jo
Thanks Jo
Hi,
So my guess is that it is either the Institute of Personnel Management or the Institute of People Management. Both seem to be present in Sri Lanka & Africa respectively (links below)

Hope that helps.

Thanks Phil, much appreciated.
Oh that's interesting. Well I guess more from the candiate info needed. I did google IPM level 1 and 2 and not sure Integrated Pest Management could be classed as a CIPD equivalent qualification!
Good luck in finding out.
Cheers
Jodi
Ha, ha I got exactly the same thing when I googled! Thanks for your help,
Michelle
