Hi everyone,
I attended a mock tribunal this morning, arranged by CIPD West Scotland Branch, in conjunction with a local employment law solicitor and university. The experience was fantastic, and it gave some great insight into the pitfalls that employers can inadvertently fall into.
Would highly recommend this, especially for those like me currently studying the employment law module and tentatively dipping my toes into the water! It was extremely well structured with pauses throughout to allow for explanations, guidance and any questions. A great learning experience as it really helped me to visualise and apply what I'd learned through the e-lessons.
Hope this is helpful :)

Thank you for sharing the benefit of your experience and I agree these can be invaluable sessions I have attended a number of these and also a mock mediation event.
As you probably know as Employment Tribunals are open to the public you can also go an attend these for real and I always recommend to my particpants undertaking this as part of a CPD activity and also to prepare them for what these entail.
Kind regards
Sarah
Hi Jacquie
This sounds extremely valuable. What a great idea?
Will you be including this in your CPD record?
Best wishes,
Gary
