Company closure compensation package

Hi allIt is unfortunate that I have to close one of my sites. I am looking for some help with regards to compensation package. I would like to know if anyone has examples they could send me of what they have offered in a site closure.The site I am closing is unionised and they are pushing for an unrealistic package and have presented examples that are 6 years old.We are offering an attractive package and would like to back it up with some recent data and examples.I would require this Informatiom by next Wednesday 1st April if at all possible.Any help would be greatly appreciated.     Hi Debbie

    Not sure I can offer recent data exampes, do you belong to an industry specific HR group where you can discuss and share best practice?

    I have been involved in non-unionised SME redundancies where 99.9% of the time it is statutory all the way.  A medium sized unionised manufacturing business which was statutory plus contracual pay x 0.25 for each year of service.  And a large utility business which had very generous terms.  I guess it all depends on the context of your industry and some element of custom and practice. 

    As I am sure you know whatever you end up on will get rolled out for any future closures even though I am sure you will be clear the terms are for each separate redundancy process.

    Hi Debbie, I was involved in a warehouse closure recently following TUPE.  The individuals elected for voluntary redundancy and we offered our standard enhanced redundancy package which is 2 weeks for every year of service plus statutory plus outplacement support. The business is non unionised and only a handful of people were impacted so it doesn't sound as complex as your situation.  However hope this is helpful and good luck!
