Thanks for posting this - a very useful article that's really helpful in getting my labour law up to date...interesting to see the similarities and differences to the South African context...in RSA, labour legislation is written in such a way as to make it MORE difficult to dismiss, especially within the probationary period. Interestingly, the points/criteria relating to automatically unfair dismissals appear to be - at least in my experience of the 2 contexts - universal.
